This work is part of a series that explores the relationship between the body and space within a socially constrained confinement that young women spend inside rooms, where the walls that protect them from the outside turn into invisible constraints that distort their bodies from within.
Daily movement is reduced to transitions between the couch, the bed and the mirror which becomes a battleground for an internal struggle, a confrontation between what is visible and what is concealed. These constraints emerged during the years of war, when fear drove families to keep women indoors, sometimes forbidding them from leaving entirely.
This voluntary or imposed confinement leaves its mark not only on the body but also on the mind, reshaping perception and identity, creating distortions deeper than what the eye can see.
